Default I: hobby

Default hobby for gainfully employed guys who are not in the habit of doing something even remotely interesting: photography.

If you want to take up photography, here’s how. First, buy a camera. Then take a bunch of pictures. Select the best pictures and put them online. Boom, now you’re a photographer. To become a better photographer, buy a more expensive camera.

It’s easy as long as you happen to be equipped with a finger. There are no ego-bruising creative decision making processes involved. There are also not any actual skills needed to get started. That’s why boring guys love it. With a digital camera, you don’t even have to worry about wasting film.

Not every guy who does photography is boring. There is such a thing as a good photographer. But if a guy is gainfully employed and boring, rest assured one of his hobbies is photography. His other is telling you too much information about his job.
