Ok, ok, just kidding. Recursion wasn’t in my notes either. I learned that as an undergrad.

I find the video “Ian Bowman on some aspects of Safeway” to be a profoundly informative. I think it deserves to be shown during English classes in Eastern Europe as good educational material for people who wish to learn about American culture. And on top of that students can pick up useful words like “incontinence”. Marvelous!

Anyway Safeway can be a strange place:
A week or so ago I was doing some late night shopping when I saw someone pushing some bagpipes in a cart. I asked the clerk if they sold bagpipes now and he replied “Oh no, he is just mentally unstable and likes to push them around “.

Of course that wasn’t nearly as strange as when he picked them up and started playing Happy Birthday to the cheers of the workers.
